Gear and Slide combines gearing and sliding in a single twisty puzzle. Such a combination was suggested by Khaled Habbab. After rejecting a whole bunch of puzzle concepts that are either unstable or no fun to play, this one was selected. The puzzle combines 23 sliding pieces and a void with eight turning corners. All corners turn in the same direction, reusing the gear designs from Polo Gear Cube for the internal gearing mechanism.
