Aw man, it showed up in the mail today! I'm super happy with it, it's such a cool design!
May 29, 2014, 8:04 am
@BurningBlades the ring on the left is polished silver, the one on the right is premium silver
May 13, 2014, 4:52 am
Hey, so I've been wanting to get one of these for a while, and a tax return showing up on my birthday kinda seemed like a good time to buy one :) I was wondering though, I'm a big fan of silver, and in the picture with two of them, which type of silver is the one on the left?
May 13, 2014, 3:40 am
@whytepearl you just have to select the material, push "personalize" and write the size in the space "finger diameter" and add to chart, when you'll buy the ring your informations will be sent to me and i'll upload your model for construction.
February 4, 2014, 10:15 pm
I want to order a ring but I can't tell if the size I picked and the special instructions I put down were added to the order or not. Does it automatically add the size and instructions when I personalized the ring and clicked the "add to cart" below the instruction fill in box? And the size and instruction won't show up in the cart once I check out?
February 4, 2014, 7:28 pm
@johnnyhomicide look this conversion table http://www.themeter.net/ring_e.htm size 7 US is 17,5mm. This ring must wear comfortable,so i suggest 18mm
February 3, 2014, 1:17 pm
My wife has a size 7 so what's the right diameter
February 2, 2014, 6:58 pm
@madamecrasian 18mm is correct this model have 0,2mm of tollerance than the nominal size because this kinf of ring must be comfortable, don't worry! thanks for your words and best wishes for your wedding!!
January 30, 2014, 12:22 pm
Just to clarify. Since I am a size 8 and the diameter is 18.1 mm. That would mean I would order a 18mm? I know this seems silly but I really want to make sure I get this right. It's for my wedding. Also absolutely gorgeous product!
January 29, 2014, 11:51 pm
@Lesslikely the finger diameteri is in millimeters (diameter, not circumference) and you have to take the measure in the larger point of the finger. If you want to be sure you just take the correct size measuring a ring of your friend, the internal diameter will be for sure the size you have to buy. You can use this page to convert the size in different countries http://www.themeter.net/ring_e.htm I hope i'd been helpful.
January 19, 2014, 9:31 pm
@nakamura_shop How do you measure 'finger diameter', and is it in mm or cm? This is for my best friend's birthday! :D
January 19, 2014, 1:07 am
@nakamura_shop okay thanks! I think I will order the ring in a few days. I am already really excited! :)
November 5, 2013, 7:13 pm
@unicorn7 i use "full" sizes because the ring diameter when came out from the 3Dprinter have a little approximation, the size can increase or decrease +- 0.2mm. buy a plated ring or a stainless steel ring can change a little the diameter. For that reason i can't guarantee a "18.7" size,so i can offer full sizes and anyway this ring long,so i suggest to buy a comfortable size. If you give me only the internal diameter the ring will be made without problems, i sold hundreds of this rings all sizes all safety, and if you have problems with size after buying you can follow the instructions for a refund (read 6 comments down) ;)
November 5, 2013, 7:07 pm
@nakamura_shop is it possible to get a 18.7 mm ring or just "full" sizes?
November 5, 2013, 6:13 pm
@nakamura_shop so if I give you just the right internal diameter, the ring will fit safely?
November 5, 2013, 6:01 pm
@unicorn7 usually i can customize only the internal diameter,if you need to increase the external thickness i have to design a new ring just for you, i can do it but the price will be increased
November 5, 2013, 5:55 pm
Hi @nakamura_shop! I am from Germany and I would like to order the triforce ring for my boyfriend as a christmas present. Now I would like to know if I should add the thickness of my boyfriends ring to get the right diameter or just the inner size? I am really afraid that it won't fit after ordering it...
November 5, 2013, 5:41 pm
@nakamura_shop It's 100% not a problem! Like I said earlier, I ordered this ring as a display piece only, so ring size is insignificant. I appreciate your concern however, and it's good info to know in the case I have this problem with a ring I intend to wear! XD
November 3, 2013, 8:00 pm
@Earth_Pony when someone order a ring, i upload a model of the right size, if you receive a different model, the reason must be that has been charged a wrong model. If you can demonstrate the error with a photo (photograph the ring diameter showing the measure with a caliper or another measure instrument) you can receive a refund or a new item. Is also possible the material you choose have add thickness at the original model, in this case, when someone will order ring in this material i'll must to upload bigger sizes. i'm really sorry for this mistake,is never happen before today
November 3, 2013, 9:45 am
@nakamura_shop Okay, so I thought I ordered a ring with an inner measurement of 19mm/Size 9, but the ring I got is ~16.9mm/Size 6.5. It seems as if the outer circumference is right at US ring size 9. Important to note that I didn't add the thickness of the ring's sides into my measurements when I placed my order.
November 3, 2013, 6:57 am
@Earth_Pony it looks beautiful, thanks for the pictures!! can you tell me wich size you ordered and how much larger is the real ring?
November 2, 2013, 7:50 pm
Polished Brass, partially on my finger (doesn't fit, whoops! XD )
November 2, 2013, 6:17 pm
Polished Brass, right side of ring. Details visible despite polished surface.
November 2, 2013, 6:14 pm
Material: Polished Brass. Fair warning, I am not good at macro photography. These images looked focused when I took them, at least... The color is accurate, however, and that's the most important part!
November 2, 2013, 6:08 pm
@Earth_Pony Thanks,i'm curious to see your images, you're the first customer using this material for my rings,i wanna see the result. Thank you!!!
November 2, 2013, 9:56 am
My ring just got in yesterday and it is gorgeous! I definitely measured my finger poorly however, because it can't even fit half way on my size 9 (~19mm) index finger XD That's fine for my purposes however, considering I bought this to be a display piece rather than something I wear regularly (it's a little too flashy, clashes with my average Joe wardrobe ^_^). But oh man, the polished brass is definitely the way to go! The ring is completely smooth, but all of the recessed details in the wings, on the band, behind the triforce, etc. are all still very apparent. I'll upload some pictures tomorrow!
November 2, 2013, 6:31 am
@Snow_Anemone yes,i think 19 is perfect. 20 mm maybe will be too large
May 26, 2013, 9:55 pm
@nakamura_shop I saw that after my post haha thank you ^_^ Do you think 19 would be the closest to a size 9? Or should I get a bit larger to be safe?
May 26, 2013, 7:10 pm
@Snow_Anemone select the size you like 15 - 16 - 17 - 18 - 19 - 20 - 21 - 22 not only 15 or 22 :D
May 26, 2013, 6:45 pm
I tcheked the chart it's just that there seems to be a huge size difference between 15 and 22mm =P
May 26, 2013, 3:58 pm
My boyfriend is a size 9 in Canada, should I go with medium or large?
May 26, 2013, 3:56 pm
@beardedbroccoli you're right, the silver finiture isn't comparable with the gold PLATED finiture.that's because is impossible make perfectly glossy a plated object without remove the surface material. for the silver is different because is a pure material without plated surfaces
May 5, 2013, 12:55 pm
@nakamura_shop Hmm so the finish of the silver in the last image would be comparable to the finish of the ring in gold? Just the gold compared to the silver seems very strange lol like the silver has been "smoothed out" and the gold has been just lasered leaving a rough finish.
May 5, 2013, 11:57 am
@proteas That sizes aren't for "Sasquatch" :D 15-22 is only the finger diameter in millimeters. look this page to convert US sizes http://www.themeter.net/ring_e.htm
April 30, 2013, 6:36 pm
What ring size standard is this in? 15-22 in U.S./Canadian ring size is HUGE.
April 30, 2013, 5:18 pm
@nakamura_shop Thanks, pls contact me for details. sedat.akkas@t-online.de
April 28, 2013, 11:52 am
@Punchnjudy thanks! we can talk in private for this kind of things ;)
April 28, 2013, 8:55 am
nice work. I am looking for a 3D designer for screws-heads . Style : Pirate-Asian-SiFi etc.
April 28, 2013, 8:08 am
@beardedbroccoli in the second image you can see the ring in gold plated glossy. but i admit it appear more rough than the reality, maybe is because the light,is not a good photo.... anyway,in the last image you can see the silver glossy version (left) and the premium silver version (right)
April 28, 2013, 7:59 am
Is the second picture mate gold or glossy? I assume glossy would take care of those horizontal ridges and look more similar to the last (silver?) ring pictured. Thanks.
April 27, 2013, 11:52 pm
@dayoun I have no photo in stainless steel, but the finiture is the same of gold plated steel but grey Look the finiture of this item http://www.shapeways.com/model/785069/roswell-ring.html?li=modelEdit the item in the real pictures is in stainless steel
April 12, 2013, 6:05 pm
any pictures of the ring in stainless steel? I am looking to get three (ironically) and can't really afford to get them all in silver.
April 12, 2013, 7:04 am
@TheIrishDeaf It's definitely the picture. It was hard to get a good one because it was so seriously glossy. I'm really loving the premium one!
April 2, 2013, 2:23 pm
@NimlothCQ so how do you feel about the change in person? It might just be the picture but the Perfect Silver seems to have a kinda plastic-y look in photo
April 2, 2013, 12:48 am
@NimlothCQ wow, thanks!! this informations are very important!!
March 26, 2013, 5:10 pm
Here are the Silver Glossy, and Premium Silver (left to right) finishes side by side for everyone's comparison.
March 26, 2013, 4:29 pm
@nakamura_shop here is a picture of the premium silver ring for you as promised. Would you like me to post a side-by-side of the Silver Glossy and Premium silvers for you? Keep in mind that the Silver Glossy is slightly oxidized from wearing it for a month :)
March 26, 2013, 4:26 pm
@NimlothCQ Thanks!! i appreciate your suggest,i'll do it!!
March 21, 2013, 9:39 pm
@TheIrishDeaf @nakamura_shop Hey guys, I've re-ordered the one I originally got in Silver Glossy in the new Premium Silver. I'll upload a picture of the new version when I get it on Monday/Tuesday. Nakamura_shop: Would you consider making some of the sharp edges slightly more rounded? Speaking specifically about the edge spikes of the two "wings" that are a half ring, and the 4 claws at the bottom of the ring. If they were slightly more rounded and less angular they wouldn't appear as sharp, and over time not irritate the skin where they reside!
March 21, 2013, 9:30 pm
@nakamura_shop I'd be willing to buy it for the increased quality compared to the normal silver material. Its just the lack of pictures, even from an extended Google search, makes the extra 20$ a weary addition. I am getting this ring regardless cause one does not simply pass up a ring of this quality and nerdness :).
March 12, 2013, 3:04 am
@TheIrishDeaf is a new material for me, this material has a better surface finish, but i saw only the preview on shapeways
March 11, 2013, 11:43 am
Can anyone explain to me what the difference is between silver and the new "Premium" Silver is?
March 9, 2013, 11:24 pm
@NimlothCQ oh my God,thanks!!!
February 23, 2013, 7:10 pm
@nakamura_shop http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/191236/thought_you_guys_would_like_my_new_silver_zelda/ You made the frontpage of Reddit on Friday :]
February 23, 2013, 6:43 pm
@gt4president Yeah man! Feel free to use the photo in your product photo gallery!
February 22, 2013, 5:54 pm
@NimlothCQ it looks beautiful!! thanks for your photo!!
February 22, 2013, 5:26 pm
@gt4president it arrived in Silver Glossy! This thing is awesome! Thank you for the fast turnaround on this sir! :)
February 22, 2013, 4:33 pm
i bought for myself a gold plated version,i published the photo
February 19, 2013, 5:28 pm
@ChristianA don't worry sir, I ordered one of these in silver :] It'll be here soon!
February 19, 2013, 3:55 am
@sabrikwa great photo! It would be great to see this on your hand.
January 20, 2013, 3:35 am
If you want one with it on my finger just tell me! :) Isn't it beautiful?
January 19, 2013, 3:04 am
Post up a picture @sabrikwa! I want to see how it turned out :)
January 18, 2013, 3:09 am
The ring turned out beautifully! The design is perfect and a job well done! It just took a while for the for the ring to be made a shipped. But it was worth the wait! Thanks!
January 18, 2013, 3:03 am
@gt4president alright thx!
January 13, 2013, 12:30 am
@googs look in my items, you will find a new item with new measures. i'll put in this conversation the new link when i design it
January 12, 2013, 11:59 pm
@gt4president alright thanks! i even got size so thx for that too. how can i contact you for the 24 mm ring since its not listed like you had said?
January 12, 2013, 10:28 pm
@googs ok i understand, the other metals are stainless steel and bronze plated, the firstisn't expensive and is a good material, the second is good for "ancient" effect. i hope i helped you
January 12, 2013, 10:11 pm
@gt4president i would get it in gold but the only prblem is that its against my religion to wear gold. the silver seems too expensive so wht other material would you suggest?
January 12, 2013, 10:02 pm
@googs For this ring i like the gold plated material. the correct size for 76circumference is 24 and for 74circumference is 23,5 (i suggest 24 in boot cases).. In this case i have to made a new item for a bigger size, and this can cost a little bit more than this ring (maybe 1 or 2 €). If you want to buy a bigger ring i'll made it for you
January 12, 2013, 9:53 pm
@gt4president sorry for double posting but if i were to buy a ring in stainless steel for a 74 mm circumference, which size would i buy?...thx!
January 12, 2013, 9:23 pm
hey @gt4president i want a silvery glossy ring but i dont have the money for it so what other material do you suggest for someone with large fingers ( around 76 mm circumference) and what size (im not so good with the calculations)
January 12, 2013, 9:07 pm
@ExtraZ you're right,at the moment i haven't images of the real ring and i can't ask photo to customers for privacy reasons. But i'm going to buy one for me, and i'll publish the real photo as soon as possible
December 30, 2012, 10:59 pm
hey @gt4president, i was wondering if maybe you could post some pictures of the actual ring (printed), or if you could ask one of those who bought it to upload the pictures.
December 30, 2012, 7:41 pm
Hi! I was just wondering how long it would take for it to ship out if I ordered a gold plated glossy 17mm ring?
December 20, 2012, 12:33 am
the design is already created for all sizes, just order it and Shapeways will produce in the time needed to construct, no problem! : D you're not the first buyer for this ring, you don't need promises ;)
December 12, 2012, 5:18 pm
So if I order this ring. You promise to make it? @gt4president
December 12, 2012, 7:47 am
Look on the right of the photo, you can chose the material and price will appear in function of chosen material. after click on "personalize" and chose the size, the finger diameter (measure expressed in millimeters) and finally you can buy it. Materials are stainless steel, gold plated steel, bronze plated steel and silver. I hope i'd been helpful
December 7, 2012, 9:39 pm
I would like to find out the materials this ring is made from and also the price you'd ask for it. If it's affordable I would definitely be interested in purchasing for my fiance. Please get back to me.
