@beardedbroccoli you're right, the silver finiture isn't comparable with the gold PLATED finiture.that's because is impossible make perfectly glossy a plated object without remove the surface material. for the silver is different because is a pure material without plated surfaces
@nakamura_shop Hmm so the finish of the silver in the last image would be comparable to the finish of the ring in gold? Just the gold compared to the silver seems very strange lol like the silver has been "smoothed out" and the gold has been just lasered leaving a rough finish.
@proteas That sizes aren't for "Sasquatch" :D
15-22 is only the finger diameter in millimeters.
look this page to convert US sizes http://www.themeter.net/ring_e.htm
@beardedbroccoli in the second image you can see the ring in gold plated glossy. but i admit it appear more rough than the reality, maybe is because the light,is not a good photo.... anyway,in the last image you can see the silver glossy version (left) and the premium silver version (right)
Is the second picture mate gold or glossy? I assume glossy would take care of those horizontal ridges and look more similar to the last (silver?) ring pictured. Thanks.
@dayoun I have no photo in stainless steel, but the finiture is the same of gold plated steel but grey
Look the finiture of this item http://www.shapeways.com/model/785069/roswell-ring.html?li=modelEdit the item in the real pictures is in stainless steel
@NimlothCQ so how do you feel about the change in person? It might just be the picture but the Perfect Silver seems to have a kinda plastic-y look in photo
@nakamura_shop here is a picture of the premium silver ring for you as promised. Would you like me to post a side-by-side of the Silver Glossy and Premium silvers for you? Keep in mind that the Silver Glossy is slightly oxidized from wearing it for a month :)
@TheIrishDeaf@nakamura_shop Hey guys, I've re-ordered the one I originally got in Silver Glossy in the new Premium Silver. I'll upload a picture of the new version when I get it on Monday/Tuesday.
Nakamura_shop: Would you consider making some of the sharp edges slightly more rounded? Speaking specifically about the edge spikes of the two "wings" that are a half ring, and the 4 claws at the bottom of the ring. If they were slightly more rounded and less angular they wouldn't appear as sharp, and over time not irritate the skin where they reside!
@nakamura_shop I'd be willing to buy it for the increased quality compared to the normal silver material. Its just the lack of pictures, even from an extended Google search, makes the extra 20$ a weary addition. I am getting this ring regardless cause one does not simply pass up a ring of this quality and nerdness :).

You made the frontpage of Reddit on Friday :]
The ring turned out beautifully! The design is perfect and a job well done! It just took a while for the for the ring to be made a shipped. But it was worth the wait! Thanks!
@googs ok i understand, the other metals are stainless steel and bronze plated, the firstisn't expensive and is a good material, the second is good for "ancient" effect. i hope i helped you
@gt4president i would get it in gold but the only prblem is that its against my religion to wear gold. the silver seems too expensive so wht other material would you suggest?
@googs For this ring i like the gold plated material.
the correct size for 76circumference is 24 and for 74circumference is 23,5 (i suggest 24 in boot cases)..
In this case i have to made a new item for a bigger size, and this can cost a little bit more than this ring (maybe 1 or 2 €). If you want to buy a bigger ring i'll made it for you
hey @gt4president i want a silvery glossy ring but i dont have the money for it so what other material do you suggest for someone with large fingers ( around 76 mm circumference) and what size (im not so good with the calculations)
@ExtraZ you're right,at the moment i haven't images of the real ring and i can't ask photo to customers for privacy reasons.
But i'm going to buy one for me, and i'll publish the real photo as soon as possible
hey @gt4president, i was wondering if maybe you could post some pictures of the actual ring (printed), or if you could ask one of those who bought it to upload the pictures.
the design is already created for all sizes, just order it and Shapeways will produce in the time needed to construct, no problem! : D
you're not the first buyer for this ring, you don't need promises ;)
Look on the right of the photo, you can chose the material and price will appear in function of chosen material. after click on "personalize" and chose the size, the finger diameter (measure expressed in millimeters) and finally you can buy it. Materials are stainless steel, gold plated steel, bronze plated steel and silver. I hope i'd been helpful
I would like to find out the materials this ring is made from and also the price you'd ask for it. If it's affordable I would definitely be interested in purchasing for my fiance. Please get back to me.
