Cane Creek DBCoil & DBAir Knurled Thumb tool.

Cane Creek has done a superb job on the DB line of dampers, and now with this Knurled Thumb Tool you can quickly and easily change settings on your highly adjustable DB damper without losing precious trail time along the way.

This 3D Printed tool is made of nylon which is lightweight, strong, and wont mar the anodized surfaces on your beautifully designed DB shock. The tactile response on 6mm dials is very good and the wings provide enough torque for the stiffer 10mm dials, while keeping cost and bulk down

UPDATE 2/7/2013: Thanks to user feedback the Fancy Thumb Tool has been improved. I've changed to a 6point socket style instead of 12point to improve durability. Ive also made the item available in Stainless Steel, which costs more but is MUCH more durable.

@N2fire the 12 point version was determined to be too weak for the heavier springs on the high speed valves. Ive of heard few if any about the low speed valves. With a delicate hand the 12 point tool may last a while as mine has, but under high torque the 12pt version was inadequate, which is why i updated the design to 6point. Ive only heard of 1 person having an issue with the 6pt version, and am waiting for more feedback from him. The stainless version is still in the works, which should be much stronger than plastic. The down side of stainless is increased cost. -- stay tuned to the cc lounge for updates.

@JOHNDOE1975 I presume you received them in the mail yesterday... maybe you placed your order a week or two before that? Either way, you should have the updated (6 point) version. If you are able, send me a photo of your stripped out 6-point version of tool. Thanks

@slackard I ordered 2 on the 8th of Jan. My batch had the 12 point for the high speed adjusters. They stripped the first time I used them on the high speed adjusters. Seems like a great idea if you can remedy this. Thanks Chris

@N2fire when did you purhcase? Also, did you get the colored versions or white? After some of the initial batch had stripping issues I updated the design for added strength, so I would like to know which version you received. thanks for the feedback.

@JOHNDOE1975 A few users have experienced stripping issues but the product has been updated and strengthened to mitigate this situation.. what was the purchase date of your tool? I would like to know which version you received. There is even a Stainless steel version on the way which will be much more durable than the plastic options - stay tuned. Unfortunately some regions pay more in shipping than others - this i cant control. The part itself is $8 USD which is affordable enough for most.

I purchased two of these tool. The smaller adjustment end works but the larger one will just strip the tool. The response from the designer has been use at own risk. Long story short.... It dosent work. Buyer beware. Great idea but very poorly executed and even worse customer service !!
