What are those hinges for?

@TreadshotA1 I understand. Thanks for the response. I'll get this eventually and probably give the guns to G1 Razorclaw or someone else who needs two of a kind.

@vm01 Thanks for the comment vm01. Unfortunately, there are no plans to split up the FOC Onslaught Upgrade Kit nor sell parts individually.

Could you also upload the Hinges as separate models? Your guns look great but I only own Impactor and I would only use the hinges on him.

@TreadshotA1 Roger that...

@caked-up I understand that it must be frustrating to have a part break during modification, however the breakage was a direct result of your modification. I can be sure of that, because I have records of a message you sent me, in which you explicitly stated the breakage was a direct result of your modifications. Also, there is no critical flaw in either Hinge Blaster design, as my sample is still intact after being used, painted and used even more. While I understand your frustration, I cannot be held responsible for your modifications and the consequences therein. Neither I nor Shapeways will supply a new gun for you, and nor should we. I am willing to upload the Hinge Blaster as a separate model, to allow you to purchase the blaster without having the re-purchase the entire kit, however it will be at your expense.

@TreadshotA1 you would be correct if my problem with the Hinge Blaster was the result of my paint accident. The thing is that it is not. The Blaster was produced before the changes you made to strengthen the barrel which was really weak in the WSF Polished material, hence the fact I contacted you to inform you of the critical design flaw. That is why I was asking for a new Hinge Blaster, it was designed wrong.

@caked-up Good to hear that your kit can be salvaged. Best of luck with the kit. However, as you stated before, the kit was damaged by your painting and modifications. I cannot be held responsible for a kit when it is modified post-production. Thus, neither I nor Shapeways can (nor should) supply you with a new blaster, as the original blaster design is durable enough to fulfill its purpose, as evidenced by my intact sample. Thanks, Treadshot A1

@TreadshotA1, that is good to hear. I have almost managed to salvage my entire kit. It has taken a lot of work, but I hope to have it correctly repainted by the end of next week. So far I am really happy with the final product, but I am hoping that since I was the one to note the Hinge Blaster problem, if you would get Shapeways to send me a new one.

For all those wondering, the Hinge Blaster was updated last month to fix and problems with durability. Renders of the new Hinge Blaster are already available on this page. :)

@caked-up The Hinge Blaster was changed already to fix that problem on the 24th of March. See the new blaster here:

I have purchased this kit in the WSF Polished and I have to say to everyone, don't do it yet. I already spoke with the designer that the hinge blaster has nearly broken on me because of the barrel not having as much material.
