About this Product

This is the ultimate sci fi spaceship ever created, This is the famed science exploration sleeper vessel. As it was seen in the 1968 film 2001 A Space Odyssey. This would make a perfect deep space exploration vessel for any solid scifi RPG. However due too no real size agreement that we can find, We scaled this to the drawings, and the actual model they used for filming and just set the scale to the entry hatch on the port side of the primary hull. Which we guessed to be roughly 2 meters tall. We hope this now explains the scale of this ship to everyone's satisfaction. We have opened this for more materials to be selected by those that insisted on it, but this was designed for WSF, because it's stronger & can be handled, making it perfect for gaming. ------- ***Be sure to check for other items in our shop that go with this.*** ------- I.E. the Moonbus, the Aries 1B, the Orion Space Plane.

I believe the name of the ship is Challenger.

We have had several people provide pictures of our models, and they all look great. Sometimes 1 picture just stands out more. Demanding to be the display image for our models. If you have a picture of any of our models, please send them to us. We'll gladly post all pictures, but if one just stands out a bit over all others, it will become that models main display image. So please, take pictures for us. We love to show off what people have done with our designs.

@mburkey we had not test printed this in FUD. Thank you for the feedback. We were curious about some aspects of the design with that material. The AE-35 antenna, yeah it is a bit thick. But again it was designed more for WSF material, so people could use it in gaming. We are thrilled that you are happy with this design. We would be thrilled if you took a picture of it, once you've detailed it. And would share it, so we could post it here.

Got one in FUD and it arrived today. I couldn't resist painting it immediately. Oddly some faceting on the 'collar' behind the command sphere and main antenna, but that's correctable and no evidence of that elsewhere. The hardcore could complain about the thickness of the antennas, but that's a nit and also correctable for those who care. Overall a really a sweet model. I plan to put it on a base with a photo of Jupiter. Right now, it paired with a Shapways colored sandstone model of Earth.
