Polysquid, I haven't ordered this model although I plan to soon but to answer your question I've painted models that were WD and Frosted Ultra. White detail has a rougher surface and absorbs paints quite a bit. if you with White and detail layer paint on and don't rely on washes they don't work well and accentuate the rough surface but WD is very strong and those fragile bit should hold up quite well with WD. I don't think this model is available in Frosted Ultra but if it were I'm sure the detail would be amazing. I've order 28mm minis from shapeway in in frosted detail and they almost look cast washes work fine with that material. but it also very fragile and I'd be worried about the tips of the horns and the axe snapping off. When I order mine I do plan on buying it in White Detail. mostly for the strength WD offers.

How is White detail working out for you as a mat? I want to get into doing some miniature props but can't decide between WD and Frosted Ultra. Amazing model, might even go as far as suggesting having this sort of thing in Silver in the off-chance that somebody would want them to display.

Shes awesome! She'd make a great hero for a Demon or undead mini race. I'm thinking maybe for Confrontation-Age of Rag. Def. be watching for more
