@Scottman_XIII - I checked Shapeways material FAQ and they unfortunately do not list the color black under their "Strong, Flexible and Polished" options =(

@ sunlink - Just out of curiosity does polished black exist as a material option?

I got mine in the mail recently. It is, "Violet Purple Strong & Flexible Polished." The purple doesn't exactly match Shockwave's purple, it's pretty close. The weapon snaps into Shockwave easily, but it doesn't hold on tightly. Currently I have Shockwave's wrist with two layers of Scotch Tape on it and the weapon rests solidly on Shockwave's arm. I'm sure there's a way to add mass to the blaster itself, but I'm not knowledgeable in this field enough to figure it out.

Im thinking transparent detail with transparent stained glass paint might be wicked.

It's nice to hear the purple printing works out. I haven't had a chance to try it out. And thanks for the comment about how to install it. I guess it would make it easier for people if there were instructions =)

If you print this out in 'Violet purple strong & flexible' it matches the original G1 purple from the cartoon, and looks excellent on the Hasbro Fall of Cybertron Shockwave. I originally had trouble mounting this until I realized you have to flip his hand backwards so that it is just an arm stump. It clicks on tightly and grips well. I would highly recommend upgrading your Shockwave toy. He looks far more menacing now
