The Wired Life Head Collection is an ongoing experiment to create designs which push the boundaries and get the most out of 3D printing. The trophy heads offer an attractive design and by using minimum material reduce weight and printing cost.

The collection looks fantastic when presented together or individually. The size variations allow the heads to fit into any space, the light weight mean they can be hung with a small pin nail.

New heads are going to be added so check back regularly. Message us if you have any questions, share your photographs and comments below.

@Uila Hi thanks so much for sharing your picture, The trophy heads look great in dolls houses. The small 75mm heads also look brilliant in small spaces. Let me know at info@Dotsan.com of which designs you would like. I look forward to seeing and sharing more of your pictures.

Great quality. I will use it on my future Blythe 1:6 scale dollhouse, but for now it is in a provisory setup. I live in Germany and they arrived nicely here (I bought one facing left and one facing right, both in black). I will make sure to share another picture once they are on their permanent location. I would love if you designed a few pieces for 1:6 scale dollhouses, I am sure a lot of people would be interested, I would be first in line. ?

These are great! I'd love to see just antlers by themselves. Deer, moose, ibex, etc.

Nice pieces. I know what it is like to be pushing the limits of 3D printing. Looking forward to seeing more of your work and reading more of your stories.

Not yet, but hopefully some news soon.
March 2, 2013, 6:35 pm
Is there already news for making the heads bigger?
March 2, 2013, 6:20 pm
So this is for a doll house? Bummer! My roommates and I thought it was a great demonstration of how 3D printing could make cheap, eclectic, modern design for a college budget....
February 15, 2013, 10:50 pm
@hbooth what size would you like a big one? The biggest size possible would cost over 1000 euro.
January 28, 2013, 1:50 pm
Very nice! I, too, would like a bigger one. This is the first thing on Shapeways that I may actually buy.
January 27, 2013, 1:51 pm
@jlawrence1 At present the cost and risk of breakage is too high for Shapeways, I am talking with Shapeways to create a solution which may be offered as premium print, fingers crossed.
January 25, 2013, 12:41 pm
Is there any chance of these all being made bigger? say 300mm tall?
January 25, 2013, 12:31 pm
Thanks for the comments and orders, I will be creating more and not only animals.
December 10, 2012, 5:36 pm
@Dotsan have you thought of making other animals available? Lion heads, etc...
December 8, 2012, 2:35 pm
Just ordered one this is GREAT! Too bad Shapeways does not print the big version anymore! Maybe one could print it in segments and assemble at home?
