Painted and ready for the mirrors. The white ovals are the mirror grinding templates.
For parallel viewing use the left and middle images; for cross-eyed viewing, use the middle and right. This lichen grows on my land at Violet Town, in south-eastern Australia. FOr a better quality version of this image, have a look at:

Actually, my cameras are 104 mm apart (measured), and could have been even a bit closer.
I certainly DO use Stereo Data Maker.
I bought "raw" mini-USB connectors, and reduced them as much as I dared; it makes for an extremely short plug, and allows the space between the cameras to be reduced from your 12 mm gap to my 6.5 mm gap (existing, not calculated, measured-on-my-actual-camera) ... and there's room to spare. If I make another one, I'll reduce the gap tp 5 mm; I can make the USB plug that short.
I measured 105mm base on my cams-a590is, but your cams are 101mm apart. That means we cannot add this right-angle-adapter to use stereodatamaker-cabels....!
Is there enough space to add a right-angle-usb-adapter to use stereodatamaker-cables?
we need 12mm if the the cameras are side by side for the macroscope. which stereobase has it and how far is the interocular distance?
