I can't see how some of the negative comments below are warranted. This solution worked first time and fitted perfectly and I have 2....

At this time, do NOT buy the test model from Duann, stick with the one listed at the top of this page. The test model doesn't fit properly.

Sometimes there can be a bit of shrinkage with prints, so account for that. I've been schooled well by a couple years of trial and error with various models.

this adapter is crap. the set i received won't fit the elevation dock and also the lightning holder hole is too small. waiting to hear back from shapeways.

This works, and took me about five minutes to install without instructions. I think I'll still consider buying the adapter from the Elevation guys when it's ready, since it should enable audio out as well (this eliminates that feature), and would probably provide a better fit. In order to make this work, you have to remove all of their guts (but it's easy and reversible). In the meantime, this is $4 very well spent.

Hi all, we are working on a slightly modified version of this model that should help prevent cancelled orders (actual fit with the elevation dock should be the same). You can view/order the test model here: http://www.shapeways.com/model/752793/elevation_lightning_dock_edit.html?key=7f1a20b2563df99cc426ac3c8c5880d0

Trying for the third time in a different material to see if that makes any difference.

For the second time, they have cancelled my order and told me it cannot be printed.

And sorry for not offering the white/gray options. I have black bases, so I was only thinking about me. I'm sure some of you want gray/white to go with your silver base.

I added some material options. You have to stick with the flexible plastic, otherwise you can't get the cable installed, nor can you get the part to fit in the dock base.

Just ordered one, but some extra material options would be nice.

And just a note to Mike and anyone wondering, the price that is listed here by Shapeways is their printing cost for materials. As the "seller" I have put $0.00 markup on this part. I am making no money. I only listed this part to help fellow people in the community looking to bring their Elevation Docks back to life with the iPhone 5.

All credit for this design goes to Mike Hellers. His blog can be found at http://mikehellers.com/blog/2012/09/30/3d-printing-iphone5-adapter-for-the-elevationdock/ He has shared the template with the public domain, and I have put it here so anyone looking to pick one up can get one printed.
