A replacement watch bezel for my Suunto Altimax (2008 vintage); I designed this and ordered one after the original bezel popped off somewhere in the Swiss Alps. I'm pretty pleased with the result (printed in "white detail"; see photos), even the fact the white bezel rather clashes with the black watch body; I like it being obvious this isn't a standard model! Black would probably look a lot closer to the original from a distance. On unpacking and attempting to fit it, my first thought was that I'd made the inner radius too small and it wouldn't go on, but just gently polishing the inside surface a little resulted in a very satisfying and apparently secure fit. I can't honestly tell whether most of the grip is from my attempt at a clip in the groove on the underside to attach to a flange on the watch body apparently for that purpose, or simply from it hugging the face tightly. It can be removed by getting a knife or fingernail under it and levering it off, but shows no sign of wanting to fall off by itself yet. I'm making this available in a Shapeways "shop" with no markup (beyond Shapeways' imposed one) in the hope it may be useful to others in a similar situation. Bear in mind there is no warrany, no guarantees (it may not even fit; for all I know there are variants with different sizes/details to mine - and in fact accounts on the Suunto forum at http://forums.watchuseek.com suggest bezels from one year may not fit another; it's also unknown whether it'll fit the Vector models), this item may damage or trash your watch, and basically you're participating in an experimental "maker" project on a technological bleeding edge. If that's not acceptable you, please do use Suunto's own servicing and refurbishing procedures to replace your bezel! If you do try it, please leave comments! One of the photos uploaded here shows the dimensions of a profile through the piece; the dimensions are in mm from the center, this should help you decide whether it will fit your watch. NB A range of plastics are currently enabled on the materials selection menu, but the only one I've tried for real is the "white detail"; no idea if "ultra detail" or "strong and flexible" will work, but I have a red one on order in the latter as a test.
