The Venusian Privateer emerged sometime around 1900 in the International Settlement. De-signed and built (or cobbled together, depending on one’s perspective) by a number of local en-gineers, it uses various spare engines, guns, and other equipment that can be easily found in the scrapyards around the Settlement or built in the primitive local foundries. As a result, much of its technology is rather out of date. However, it is still perfectly servicable as a privateer and explo-ration craft in the hinterlands of Venus.
