Based on USS Gwin (DD433), This item contains 3x ships representing typical USN Gleaves class destroyers in their 1943 appearance.
Can also be used as a Benson class destroyer as these 2 classes are almost visually identical, only difference as Benson having flat-sided funnels (vs Gleaves' rounded ones)
USS Gwin acted as an escort for USS Hornet ("Doolittle Raid"), participated in the Battle of Midway, the Guadalcanal campaign and actions along the Solomon islands. She was sunk in the Battle of Kolombangara.
