@Maldracai @Maldracai Hi. Sorry you're having some problems. His thigh should have two peg holes in it. Not sure what the thick part is that you are talking about. Sounds like a mis-sort. You can post a pic of the part if you want or contact me directly via by clicking on Kidmechano above. Thx.

Can I ask what part is his right thigh? It looks a lot thicker than the normal thigh piece and I cannot seem to find it. It's in the picture posing with the longsword and shield.

@mcsdaver Whoa! Sorry I missed this. yeah, its so hard to not get caught up in making all kinds of stuff stuff for these guys. The challenge has been to stay focused on expanding the build system. I'm working toward geared parts, so that and color are two of the really big things on my list. By the time you get your printer, we'll be selling some of the parts for home printing. Its very different than using the Nylon from Shapeways, so we're rebuilding some of out parts for home printing.

@Kidmechano Your robots look like amazing fun. I might buy some to test out while I wait for my 3d printer. You can make sets for your figures too. Tables, chairs, computers, all the things they need to live. This gives collectors more fun things to buy and play with. He might need a pet too. Something small and cute. Yes unlimited customizing fun. Hats, wings, jet pack, bike, hoverboard ....... no limits

@mcsdaver Yes! Once you get started the options for customization are unlimited. I just made some robotic body parts the other day. You can check them out- http://www.shapeways.com/shops/kidmechano Good luck with the story AND the printer!

This is a great looking model. I will be making action figures of some robots from a story that I am writing. You have given me some good ideas. I could make something like yours and then have the parts and heads of the robots plug into it. This way the robots can have many color parts and be customizeable. I will be getting my 3d printer in a few weeks!

@Kidmechano In fact i made it thinking about stop motion animation. It is tricky to add more articulations because the model wouldn't hold the poses. Thank you :)

What a great idea. I love your models !!

@Mr_props Thanks for the props! I'm surprised that someone hasn't done one, yet. Maybe I need to try one myself. I wouldn't mind seeing an EGO animation. Has anyone done one, yet? I favorited him a while ago, but still need to get one. :)

With @erinautomatic modibots and my modibot raptor we created this awesome fighting scene.

@Kidmechano Awesome thanks for the info!

@erinautomatic Most accessories I build are built specifically for the Mo (Hex) system. If you see a round peg it usually fits both- Except for chest plates, those ONLY fit Mo. Hand grip sizes are the same and head diameter, as well.

Question @Kidmechano, do accessories fit both hex and square peg models (Mo vs X), or are they specific to one or the other?

@Kidmechano Ah! Your right it is. Good stuff. I really love this toy man. Great job.

@ChristianA The video is already embedded in the product images above, but you have to scroll to the left to view it (counter intuitive, but I've tried to change it several times). I've just added a mention of the video in my product description and will try again to revise the view order of my pics/video. Thanks for pointing it out!

@Kidmechano would be great to have your instructional video on how to assemble modibots on this page. You can add video to your products by editing them. http://modibot.tumblr.com/post/39191092873/quick-modibot-assembly-video

@Kidmechano Already have. But I'll spread the word.

@dlraynes Thanks for leaving a comment! If you hadn't done so, you can rate the project at the top of the page. Continuing to add a lot of upgrade parts to give your figure some character.

@Nindustries Glad you dig it. It's been a hugely fun project. It started as a way to teach myself Rhino
