DDW Punnik2.0 Waistband

Designed by: Peter Hermans   contact | Shop: meuk
7.0 w x 2.6 d x 7.0 h in cm |

This is a waistband/ceinture I made for the DDW competition.
Length: 74cm, Width: 5,5cm.
Please beware that it looks wider in the renders because it is rolled up more than it would be if you wear it. This was done to fit it in the printer (SLS).

I hope you like it :).

Hey Peter Congratulations! for the win mate, your piece is just gorgeous
Elegant and nice pattern, that is still very much rapid prototyping. Would love to see it printed!
Thanks for the comments :).
er1c: At 74cm's the gaps you can see between individual links will be gone. So yes, you could say the pattern stretches. Of course the gaps are there at the moment to make it fit for printing. Whether the individual links stretch as well: I don't expect a lot of stretching but I will have to wait and see after it gets printed.
Wow Peter, this is amazing!
very nice :) I like how the 'buckle' works
Is the pattern designed to stretch (slightly?) when it is worn?
Very creative use of the medium! Nice pattern too.
