The Dragonscale Cuff was designed to test Shapeways' original black Flex material. The rows of scales are attached separately to the underlayment of the bracelet, and should rise up and "ruffle" when it is worn. The straps slide into channels on the other side of the cuff to lock in with spaced tabs to accommodate a variety of wrist sizes.
I ordered it in the new Elasto Plastic and it is pictured above. It is quite a bit rougher than the original Flex material and it seems much more robust. I haven't tried to dye it yet but will update pictures on this page if I do. The Elasto Plastic is a "Maker-Only" material at the moment. If you would like one, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I'll have to order it through Shapeways and then forward it to you. The price will be $70 including shipping.
