This compound forms as a royal purple hexagonal column crystal. The color and clean edges and faces made this attractive even before I knew the chemical properties it possessed. It is constructed of 1D triangular chains running the vertical length of the structure separated by 4-member rings that stack along the chains. In terms of magnetic importance, the triangular arrangement of the atoms in the chains is very significant.
The framework is scalable from the very small (approx. 1.5 in.) to as large as the printers can handle.
