An interesting trick. I'm guessing that you use a boolean modifier on a bezier curve (the letters) to subtract from the ring. Is that correct? I ask because I have not been pleased with boolean modifiers in Blender, although that is my primary method of modeling in programs like SolidWorks. What modeling program do you use?
