It should be possible by making subtle changes to the thicknesses of the supports for the dots and the dots themselves to balance the die so that it rolls reasonably true. If done, it would make a very cool die.
If, though, you wanted to hit a market that will spend money on weird dice, a similarly designed die in the 10, 12, etc sided types that role playing gamers use would probably be a hit, especially if they came in at around the price these ones do. One benefit is that since you'd need to use numbers not dots, you wouldn't have to cope with the kind of weight discrepancy that one dot versus 6 gives you.
