About this Product

A center block for mounting 10x10mm aluminium arms for a hexacopter. With 10mm height, the block can fit between mounting plates and still let the arms be detachable.

@AreTysland I like it. You should make arms also with motor mount built in.

@Bustamytool I attached the center to an 'AluBond' mounting plate (it's somewhat stiffer that aluminium and very easy to work with); kind of circular with 15cm diameter. The 30cm arms slide onto the center block and fasten to the mounting plate with one screw each. I thought of using two plates and sandwich the arms in between, but found that one place was solid enough. This way the arms are easily detachable - just by removing one screw and unhook three wires on each.

@AreTysland How do you recommend I strengthen it? Can you make a 600mm solid frame?

@Bustamytool The center block is solid enough, but I would not have let it carry all the strain alone.

Are these strong mainframes?
