@Aplion The size "52" you're telling is the "circumference", look on the left and you'll see the diameter,i think is 16.7 (i suggest 17mm). Look "material options" menu every material have his preview,if you want a polished material i suggest "gold plated stainless steel glossy" or "bronze plated stainless steel glossy", the price is similar than stainless steel but it look better. The best (and more expensive) material is "Silver glossy" or "Premium silver" (look the photo).

@nakamura_shop I've ordered medium 22 mm size which probably was my fault ... I saw the link you post with ring sizes ... the European size I need it is given by number 52 ... which is probably much less than of 22 mm finger diameter (I believe that must be about 19 mm finger diameter). Furthermore I was not aware that stainless steel in Shapeways is "not polished stainless steel" ... but in any case this is not mine or your issue I believe. Just a quick question ... lets suppose that I'm willing to buy another one ... I want something more polished (not gold and not too much expensive) and at the correct size this time ... any suggestions ?
June 4, 2013, 12:07 pm
@Aplion the stainless steel in Shapeways is"not polished stailsess steel" Can you tell me the size you ordered? My sizes are european sizes, the finger diameter in millimeters
June 4, 2013, 11:55 am
I've just received one of your rings in stainless steel ... the ring is huge for any woman's finger ... I'm very dissapointed as this was supposed to be a gift to my 17 years old daughter. Also the color is not stainless steel color ... its more like rusted.
June 4, 2013, 10:35 am
@HighKing you mean 9 and 10 in US size? look this page http://www.themeter.net/ring_e.htm in this case the sizes (diameter in millimeter) is 19mm and 20mm
May 2, 2013, 8:18 pm
I was checking my ring size and i need a 9 or 10 is there any way i get can it in that size?
May 2, 2013, 5:56 pm

March 24, 2013, 8:59 am

March 23, 2013, 9:01 pm
@nakamura_shop Its ok it was a random thought but thank you
March 15, 2013, 12:27 pm
@Bradp1990 i can use only the materials proposed by shapeways
March 13, 2013, 5:13 pm
@nakamura_shop Random question can you do it in surgical steel? My friend and i were discussing it and just wanted to know.
March 13, 2013, 7:28 am
@nakamura_shop thank you sorry if i am being really picky. Just question everyhtin be for spending that hard earned money you know what i mean? but thanks for the info i think i will be making a purchase here in a few days
March 12, 2013, 10:44 pm
@Bradp1990 Usually plated material can make green your finger, but until now this is never happen to me with shapeways items. If you want to be absolutely SURE you can buy stainless steel or silver (silver is more expensive but beautiful) All metarials have the same level of finish surface but glossy materials look better
March 11, 2013, 8:41 pm
Btw thank you all i am just curious before i buy. I want something durable, that i can wear 24/7 with out the green, and preferably something that doesn't tarnish and something that has a nice clean shiny finish.... maybe i am asking too much lol
March 8, 2013, 8:59 am
@holicaholic Nvm lol i see you answered that does it leave green on your finger?
March 8, 2013, 8:53 am
@holicaholic Thank you kindly. Now what type of metal did you get?
March 8, 2013, 8:51 am
@holicaholic i understand...i need a new couple of eyes
March 4, 2013, 9:06 pm
@nakamura_shop bronze, medium
March 4, 2013, 8:33 pm
@holicaholic thank you!!! this is a stainless steel version large size, right?
March 4, 2013, 8:30 pm
@Bradp1990 the first photo and the last photo are not rendered images, are real! the first is stailess steel and the last is silver
March 4, 2013, 10:32 am
I am interested but the the rendered pics don't show me enough details on the ring i would like to see some real life photos of them if i can please.
March 4, 2013, 6:17 am
@nakamura_shop Thank you for the help! I really do appreciate it, however in trying to adjust the size, it snapped. I'm sure I can still take a picture showing the size, though. Thank you really!
March 2, 2013, 7:02 pm
@Liwan & @holicaholic thanks!! i'm happy to hear this!!
March 2, 2013, 9:40 am
@thedoctor4509 if you receive a wrong size yoy only have to send a photo of the wrong item to service@Shapeways.com explain your problem and they'll solve the problem. if the ordered model is different by the sent model we can verify it.
March 2, 2013, 9:38 am
Just got mine in, its AWESOME! the bronze is very durable and looks amazing!
March 1, 2013, 6:02 pm
Tried to adjust the wings because it was too small, and it snapped. I'll probably buy another and hope that they send the right size next time.
March 1, 2013, 5:53 am
I bought this as a valentines gift for my girlfriend and its awesome! Though I bought a simple stainless steel version its very robust (for a ring) and looks great, thank you!
February 26, 2013, 12:32 pm
@icykrazy sorry to hear that.. Please contact our Customer Service team at service@Shapeways.com. Thanks!
February 25, 2013, 10:46 am
Hi, i had a problem with my orders that i received. It was the wrong size. Who can i seek help from?
February 25, 2013, 3:41 am
@Hartland I use this chart here. :D http://www.celtarts.com/ring_size.htm
February 7, 2013, 1:56 am
@Aeleana I understand your problem,i've already checked your order, you payed for a 18mm and i uploaded a 18mm, i'll help you to receive a right ring for free. i think this is too much,i'll contact you in private
February 6, 2013, 10:25 pm
I chose the 18 mm and this is, I'm sorry, really starting to frustrate me. I ordered a 18mm ring, and I received today a ring bigger than my last! I measured the inside and it's 22mm! I had my mother over my shoulder when I purchased this 2nd one and she knows I clicked 18mm. Something is very wrong here. (I love this ring and would love to have my own, but I am consistently meeting disappointment. Even if I gained 50 lbs, this ring would not even fit my thumb.)
February 6, 2013, 9:41 pm
look this link with conversion http://www.themeter.net/ring_e.htm O size is 17,5 in millimeters so i suggest 18mm for you
February 2, 2013, 7:40 pm
Anyone know what size is closest to UK size O?
February 2, 2013, 5:51 pm
@ParadoxBattleZone thanks for the info!
January 22, 2013, 7:20 am
@ParadoxBattleZone Awesome, thank you so much! Yeah, if the inside is a little worn, I wouldn't mind that as long as the outer appearance is still bright. I just might get it in the coming years if my ring size changes. ;D
January 21, 2013, 3:21 am
@icykrazy Yes, it is the silver glossy
January 20, 2013, 6:22 pm
@ParadoxBattleZone Hi can I just check that the pic u upload is the silver glossy version?
January 20, 2013, 10:54 am
@Aeleana Here you are. This is what the ring looked like straight out of the box. By now it's slightly tarnished after a month of continuous wearing (as expected of sterling silver) but by all means it still looks shiny and nice.
January 20, 2013, 1:58 am
@gt4president I think closing it would ensure that the dimensions are more true, since the opening makes that part of the ring 'larger'. I think they may be a little off, because when I received mine, a size 21, I measured the diameter and it was 20 mm. Just a minor thing you may want to double check. I suggest if you do make a closed version, that the diameter is equal in every direction. Thank you for designing such a lovely piece!
January 19, 2013, 9:53 am
@ParadoxBattleZone Could you post a picture of it? I'd like to see how it looks. I plan on getting a glossy silver when I figure out what my ring size is, properly this time. ;D
January 19, 2013, 9:49 am
@olliebird and @Aeleana I see... i can only say this item require the same attention of every jewelery object,i have one for myself (the old version without enforcements) and is strong,i flexed it with attention without problems and the onli suggest i can give to all is DON'T flex the central point because is an empty space... anyway i made all that sizes only for evade this type of accident... at the moment 2% of customers snap the ring but i think next version of the item will be closed so will be impossible flex it. This is the best i can do
January 19, 2013, 1:12 am
A note to buyers. Though the creator says the ring is flexible, the stainless steel version is NOT. Got mine and there was a slight pinch in the back but overall perfect. Went to spread it by a millimeter per the instructions and it snapped instantly. Creator, you should probably take the note about flexing the wings off the description. It's misleading and quite a few buyers are snapping their rings doing this.
January 18, 2013, 7:30 pm
Well, it snapped.
January 18, 2013, 1:27 am
I believe the problem is that the wings open too much, they don't curve back to 'complete' the circle enough, so that end is larger from about the middle of the ring towards the opening.
January 18, 2013, 12:21 am
A size 20, I thought after measuring, would be too small but with the open back being the widest part, it's too big.
January 18, 2013, 12:15 am
I just received mine today, a size 21, and it's a little too large. I have tried pressing on the wings, but they haven't budged and I'm worried I may snap it.
January 18, 2013, 12:14 am
@Sonic1465 can i know what is the size you bought? and what is your correct size? this information is important to answer you
January 12, 2013, 10:10 am
I just got mine today. It was a bit bigger than my finger so I went to flex it shut and the wing snapped almost instantly.
January 10, 2013, 11:57 pm
@Fitlerfive During last month i sold over 200 rings and no one had unlucky "accidents". I can say the problem is solved. Now you just have to choose the right size.
January 5, 2013, 11:35 am
Hey, I'm very interested in the ring. I'm curious though, is it still prone to snapping? Or have you fixed that problem? Thanks.
January 5, 2013, 10:03 am
Thank you very much!!
December 4, 2012, 5:26 pm
Received mine in the mail today and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Fits perfectly, the silver looks great, and looks incredible overall. Fantastic work!
December 4, 2012, 5:13 am
it's difficult but maybe is possible...but i think that this operation will be more expensive than the ring... for now i solved the problem with the modify and the co creator model but can i see a photo of the broken ring? i never broke one and i don't understand how can this can happen
October 20, 2012, 6:41 am
I have the same problem as Krazedjer. I just got my ring and I couldn't apply enough force to bend the wings by hand so I stuck something inside the ring and barely applied any force at all and it snapped in half. Do you know if it's possible that jewelry stores like Zales for example could solder it back together or is it too thin around the Assassin symbol to do so?
October 19, 2012, 9:36 pm
-Krazedjer: for that reason now the model is customizable,i have reinforced the model and now i think the problem has been solved -INUGAMI: i'm happy you like it,enjoy it! Thank you
October 19, 2012, 4:17 pm
I have just received it finally and I'm very happy, you made a very good job. :) I love it, thanks.
October 19, 2012, 12:16 pm
I was amazed with the ring when I got it and I also am one of the unlucky people to overstress the ring. I tried to only bend the wings and it wasn't enough. It actually broke when it was almost around my knuckle. Is there a date set that you might actually make different sizes?
October 18, 2012, 11:04 pm
Yes,i knew this,i need just some day and i'll made the co-creator model, with "S" "M" and "L" sizes. Flexing it, i've tested to extend up to a measure of 22 millimeters (diameter) but i have been much careful not to break and i understand your accident, the (> symbol is fragile if overstressed... I'm, really sorry for your accident Suggest for all... if you want enlarge the ring you have to flex the wings, not the Assassin symbol
October 14, 2012, 9:07 am
saw this ring and instantly fell in love with it so i bought it and it was sent to me and it was way too small but i know you made it to be open so it would flex but i tried that and it snapped on me, made me very sad. im not angry or anything but it would be nice if you could make it a bit larger for people like me with large fingers. thank you.
October 13, 2012, 5:30 pm
Oh, ok ! I thought that I had to address my request directly to you and not to the website staff. Thanks for your fast answer. Bye !
October 12, 2012, 8:15 pm
ok, i understand but i'm only the creator,an user like you,if you want informations for delivery service you have to contact the website staff. I invite you to use the forum and someone will help you soon!!
October 12, 2012, 5:46 pm
Hi, I bought you a ring less than a month ago and I had to receive it last week ... Only there was a problem with the mail service of my country and these idiots sent back the package to you. I give you my email to talk about it, please. N.KaroO@gmail.com
October 12, 2012, 2:52 pm
if you like an "old" effect (like the user "Raxyn") i suggest matte,if you like a surface more smooth and shiny i suggest glossy. personally i like glossy materials, but in this case someone prefers the old effect of matte material
October 2, 2012, 4:49 pm
Which would look better, gold matte, or gold glossy?
October 2, 2012, 4:13 am
Thanks! I just bought it now. :)
October 1, 2012, 10:26 pm
The Stainless steel look like antique, is the same for all the "matte" materials (antique bronze or gold)
September 30, 2012, 2:13 pm
'm interested in the product, but I want the style of the product in a particular way (antique looking basically) What style is that listed as on the material types? I know, it sounds like a stupid question, but I want it to look like I just took it right out of the game, and that it is aged. Or should I buy it to look newer?
September 29, 2012, 7:06 pm
this ring is "open" on the rear,so you can flex it manually, the size is universal. anyway the standard size is 18mm, you can close it until 15mm and open it as you wish
August 4, 2012, 7:08 am
I really love this ring! One question though, how do you i tell you what size i need?
