This is a schematic of a compound I synthesized that contained two very interesting features. First, you have a 1D slab that resides somewhere between the worlds of typical 2D and 1D features. Second, you have a 1D chain that seperates these slabs made of square rings that can act as electrical and magnetic insulators, isolating the slabs. This combination of features could present some very interesting physical properties.
