propeller 12000 rpm aspect 3.5 aoa 4.5

  • White

White nylon plastic polished to reveal a smooth matte finish.

Prototype propellers for a small quadcopter. Set of four, two clockwise and two counterclockwise. 1mm shaft hole, but it will need to be drilled out due to WSF limitations. 70mm diameter. A previous revision that wasn't even as beefy as this was plenty strong for my use. These have a pretty low advance ratio because they're designed for hovering.

I can generate these with custom sizes, aspect ratios, and advance ratios, so contact me if you're interested.

See my blog post for more info.

I had designed them for a small quad I was building myself, but I haven't found suitable motors for it. These seem to be comparable to some of the commercial ones I found that had a smaller diameter, but my testing was pretty unscientific and I never got it off the ground with either this or the commercial, due to the crappy motors. Probably the best way, which I haven't tried yet, is to get a bunch with different geometries and test them all - but I don't have a good platform for that yet, and it's highly dependent on the specific motor and battery setup.

Have you actually tested these, and compared their performance to stock props? I tried my hand at designing replacement props for the Ladybird V2, and I couldn't beat the performance of the stock props.
