Hello Michael - I love your Raspberry Pi case. It's too bad that some of the folks are a tad bit harsh with their comments. My assumption is that if you order the case that the LED lightguides don't come with the case...which explains why you are posting them as seperate? I just received earlier this week the 3 boards, 1 is for myself and the other 2 are for my nephews as birthday gifts. I would like to order 3 cases all in RED. 1) Are you backordered and if so how long would it take to receive them? - Many thanks and I admire your patience with some of the folks. Yes your case might be a little expensive but folks don't realize the costs of producing something in small quantities. My folks have been in the injection molding business for over 30 years and the cost of an injection mold is very expensive. I would guess it could cost you $50k+ (a steel vs. aluminum mold) to have a decent injection mold made, you could go cheaper but it all depends on the volume you would plan on selling. At this point even if you sold one to every purchase who ordered a board I'm not sure it would worth the fixed cost. If you don't mind me asking, how are you molding them now or are you 3D printing them or are you using an aluminum or steel injection mold?

Ah that may be the problem then, I think (on my case at least) the lightguides wouldn't fit into the holes, and the case and lightguides didn't seem to align properly :(

coolrob335, as you can see in the photos (bigger here: http://marcoalici.wordpress.com/2012/06/05/raspberry-pi-case-1-0-released/) the lightguides fit well in their holes, even if there is no snap (mine fit for the little interference with holes). You can block by a little drop of glue. The project (with injection moulding in mind) is to melt the small pins using a hot source (like a welder), but actually I don't know if the Shapeways material permit that (I didn't try yet).

It will not snap into the case, unlike what I assumed that it would, even though the lightguide and case had male/female-like connectors, which looked like they'd snap together. I tried wiggling it around to get it to connect up, and the lightguides just snapped... Please enlighten me how you are supposed to put the case on and align the lightguides easily... even though i have no lightguides now.
