This was the first full production U-Boat for the Germans. The prototype for the class was the Finnish submarine, Vesikko. The Type II U-Boat was a coastal submarine that saw a lot of use early in the war, but served more in a training role as newer, longer ranged U-boats became available. They also played an important role in fighting the Russians in the Black Sea.

Redid base (larger with name on bottom) and removed sprue (changed to 5 pack also). Hopefully this will make it more user friendly.

Nice sculpt. Painted well. Very tiny. Be careful handling it because the conning tower can snap off with the transparent detail material. I would like to see it available in WSF.
