BFG Heresy Marine Cruiser

Design by GrimDarkBits
    (8)
An ancient and powerful vessel of lost design, this strike cruiser is equally at home as a relic in a loyalist fleet, or the mainstay of a traitor force. Carrying a deadly cargo of marines, ready to board enemy ships or conduct a surgical strike at the heart of an enemy army, this millenia-old Pre-Heresy Strike Cruiser still punches well above its weight.

One ship, comes unpainted and without flight stand. Frosted Detail or Frosted Ultra Detail are recommended for best quality. Model has a 3/16" hole for a standard Games Workshop flight stand; not affiliated with Games Workshop in any way.

An excellent model, really nice design. I got one a couple of weeks ago in Frosted Ultra Detail, and the detail is great.

@GrimDarkBits Ahh ok. Thanks. I'm still very much new to this Shapeways thing!

@admiraltee Shapeways was periodically rejecting the model for printing in White Detail. Frosted Detail actually looks better and for about the same price.

Hi - It doesn't look like White Detail is an option anymore for this model. Referring to the below comments it sounds like WD is a better option.

Woah @GrimDarkBits -- that's an awesome model!

@ilaninglis The printed example is in White Detail; it's perfectly strong for this design. Although White, Strong, and Flexible is a little stronger, it also has a rougher texture and detail is lost. You can still make a good looking model if you're willing to hand paint detail back onto it, so I left the option open since it's cheaper. But I recommend White Detail for a good print.

P.S. any chance of a Battle-barge equivalent?

what would you recommend as medium; WD or WST? is there a significant difference in details and strength? what medium did the ones in the photo used?
