OK, the that's fine. I wan to make 2 rings, one is 19mm inside diameter and the other one is 17.5mm inside diameter, both rings should have a capital letter "J" mark on both components of the ring, do you think it's OK?

There should be enough space for a letter J in one inside corner. The size of the letter J would then be like 3mm x 3mm and I think this metal printing can do it.

jasonwwk, unfortunately the area for the name in is so narrow that it would be unreadable when printed in stainless steel. I would recommend to print this as it is and then use a local goldsmith to engrave names there.

I've shared this puzzle ring with colleagues, and observed an interesting phenomenon. Many had trouble finding the elegant solution, so they resorted to awkwardly forcing the pieces together. The material is sufficiently supple that it easily allows this 'cheat' solution, whereupon the users discover they cannot disassemble the puzzle the same way! By subsequently disassembling the ring, they intuitively learn the more elegant solution. (And they typically repeat it until they master the movement.) It's an uncommon puzzle that tolerates 'cheating' yet still guides the user toward a better solution.
