The Littorio class, also known as the Vittorio Veneto, was the epitome of Italian battleship design in World War Two. Due to shortages in fuel supply towards Italy's surrender in 1943, they have spent most of their time at port, participating only in key missions. Only two survived the war (Littorio and Vittorio Veneto), Roma was sunk en route to Allied ports (with heavy loss of life), while the Impero was launched but never completed.

Due to the (relative) small size of the individual ships, extra care is advised for the hobbyist/modeller/gamer/player.
