8 pairs of wooden passenger car trucks with 5' wheelbase. A common design for small passenger cars, cabooses/waycars, drovers' cars, milk and express cars, this truck was popular from about 1880 to the end of wood car construction. Based on a CB&Q No.7 truck used under waycars from 1880s-1980s. See part T58p for this same truck made with an offset mounting hole to clear end steps etc., just right for MDC and MTL cabeese.
This version mounts with a common bolster pin
Made for 33" low or standard profile wheelsets (MicroTrains or Fox Valley Models with .540" length axles). Large flange MT wheels also fit.
Because of their small size and fine detail, Frosted Ultra Detail is the prefered material. Clean with soapy water or alcohol before painting, or with Bestine rubber cement remover if parts are particularly greasy. Just soapy water is usually fine. Acrylics recommended. Part Number T57p Contact panamintmodels@aol.com for painted models with wheels (~$6/pr).
