WOW. OOps. I didn't think you would be THAT knowledgable. I feel really ..."overbearing" now for what I posted here. Crazy. What can I say now. I would love your job! xD

thanks for your appreciation Leander. The name "turbine" is not related to the function, but it's more evocative than "fan". I have been working for twenty years in aerospace industry as cad designer of blades and vanes, also on G.E. projects. I have modeled turbine (fan) airfoils by planar sections, joining surfaces in tangency. You have done a nice work with "GE90 Fan" cufflinks and keychain. Finally, my girfriend designed the logo, I like it very much...

It's actually a fan, not a turbine. I hope my correction doesn't seem bold or offending because it is not supposed to be at all. Anyway a fan is a kind of compressor. So it's more the opposite or one of the counterparts of a turbine. However I do agree that all people who aren't into the subject will call any bladed disk a turbine. Maybe you know all this yourself and just called it turbine to be easier recognized by people? Because I must admit that it is pretty detailed. Whatever you used as information to build this, you payed close attention to the continuous rotation of the blades' profiles along their radial position. So it looks pretty good! I hope you won't be anoyed if I advertise one of my own models a bit now but I have one in my shop (shops/Alaskajoe) called GE90 Fan. It is similar to yours and there is a cufflink and a keychain. btw I like your logo. Maybe I should get myself one too?
