Inspired by Japanese crest patterns, this model was designed as a Christmas ornament but would look great hanging anywhere in your home!

Each of the 6 sides uses a different traditional family crest design as inspiration. Several of them are also available as single ornaments in my shop.

The "Choban" motif represents a "board- used like a gong." http://shpws.me/mGJL The "Ichoedamaru" motif represents a branch from the gingko tree. http://shpws.me/mGKD "Suisen" shows a curling daffodil or narcissus plant: http://shpws.me/mGKb The "Okashippo" design is made of joined rings. http://shpws.me/mGJM

I have one that is similar to this -- it is just a sphere, without the outer cube, and there is a Christmas tree in the center of the sphere. Beautiful details, and a lovely sense of balance to it -- highly recommend!
