D13 Sphere

This is a Truncated Sphere D13. It has a 4-fold symmetry.

This die is inspired by the repulsion force polyhedra. But in this case, the underlying polyhedron (not rounded) does not exactly look like the shape that can be obtained through this technique with 13 points repulsing each others.
Instead, I calculated the positions of those points to have a maximal radius for the circles resulting from the intersection of this underlying polyhedron with a sphere. The result is a truncated sphere with 13 circular faces of same radius.

See this thread for more informations.

@etsymemario Thank you very much for the kind words. It was my pleasure. May I ask you if you could post here, in the comments, a picture of the die, perhaps along with your game?

Magic did an awesome job on making my 1D13 with the letters 'A' through 'M' instead of numbers! I had mine done in stainless steel. I highly recommend Magic as a Shapeways seller that knows how to get the job you want done, in a timely fashion.

Thanks: I am happy to have found it because 13 is not a number easy to split (not only it is a prime, but also it cannot be writen as 3n+2 like 11 or 17). I will try to make a D19 with the same technique.
