UPDATE02/12: The ring has been redone and should hopefully work with silver. As usual any other metal other than silver will give a more faded less detailed result due to the printing process. Get it in silver for the high detailed look, or in other metals for the antique battle worn look. "An assassin's ring with a gap in the bottom to activate a hidden blade. The ring itself is about 20mm wide, that should translate to 10¼ ring size in the US."

Will it work well with the brass finish?

When is the ring shipping? I still haven't gotten a tracking number

would you recommend me stainless steel, silver or silver glossy? i want a high detailed look but it also shoudn´t be to much shiny. and is there a gap in every ring? my ring size is 10 up to 10 1/2. Many thanks in advance ;D

@Aleksandra5 No you can get it in any material you want, but if you want a clean smooth jewelry look, silver in your only option. If not it will come out looking like the other ring(the sand down one). Likewise if you would rather have a ring without a hole you can order the "sand down" ring in silver, and it will come out smooth and clean. I added a render to show how it should look in silver. Silver has better definition, stainless steel is cheaper. Feel free to order what suits you, I just like people to know what they are getting so that they are not disappointed when they receive it.
2012-03-02 18:56:47 by edrice
Wait... so if I want this, not sand down one, I can only get it in silver?
2012-03-02 18:24:49 by Aleksandra5
@Aleksandra5 The ring is available at this link, http://www.shapeways.com/model/397138/assassin_s_ring_2_size_9_1_2.html?gid=ug , remember to order it in silver, not stainless steel if you don't like the look of the other ring(which does not necessarily have the sand down if ordered in silver, but people like ordering in stainless steel, so I show off the stainless steel version so people know what they're getting.)
2012-03-02 18:08:35 by edrice
Alright. Could I get this ring (NOT the sand down one) in size 9.5 please?
2012-03-02 17:22:03 by Aleksandra5
@Aleksandra5 Unfortunately due to the way the ring is modeled I cannot close the hole, if I may suggest an alternate ring without a hole . http://www.shapeways.com/model/471671/assassin_s_ring_v3_size11.html?gid=ug , for the engraving the best way is to take the ring to a jeweler, that way you'll have the best looking result. I cannot guarantee that the inscription would print correctly.
2012-03-02 10:07:42 by edrice
Is it possible to have the ring engraved inside? To have a quote in there instead of the hole?
2012-03-02 00:45:21 by Aleksandra5
Hey buddy I live in Brazil. How can i make a request? Am I crazy to buy.
2012-02-24 03:03:44 by Kevyn Pereira
@Brad.W the ring is now available at this link http://www.shapeways.com/model/478133/assassin_s_ring_2_v2_size_13.html?gid=ug .
2012-02-19 11:08:55 by edrice
@Brad.W Shapeways is experiencing some technical problems, the ring will be available in the requested size as soon as it's fixed.
2012-02-17 18:12:09 by edrice
Could you resize it to fit a 22.2 mm?
2012-02-17 05:06:32 by Brad.W
@Novastar The ring itself can be printed in stainless steel, but the details but the little wings detail will be a little washed out.
2012-01-22 19:09:05 by edrice
okay thx. i think im going to take stainless steel or bronze
2012-01-18 19:47:32 by 22Vengeance44
@22Vengeance44 It's never be tested in silver in this size. It passed the initial test, but should it pose a problem to print, your order would be canceled and you would be refunded.
2012-01-18 19:01:48 by edrice
my size is 10¼ or 11 . would there be a issue ? with silver
2012-01-18 18:11:30 by 22Vengeance44
@22Vengeance44 silver currently in metal is the only option for full, but this particular model is known to cause issues with silver on smaller sizes.
2012-01-18 16:02:00 by edrice
@edrice wich material would show me all details?
2012-01-18 13:52:04 by 22Vengeance44
@22Vengeance44 Stainless steel or bronze will give you an antique look, but you loose some detail but you loose some definition due to the current printing process.
2012-01-17 20:15:33 by edrice
wich material would you recommend me? it should look like one from assassins creed
2012-01-17 19:06:35 by 22Vengeance44
I tried to make it work for silver printing, but fixing one part seems to brake another.
2011-12-18 11:14:46 by edrice
I'm also very interested in this in silver, and possibly slightly wider with a larger logo and a little thicker? I know its alot to ask!
2011-12-18 02:08:32 by Cmvisuals
Just ordered on in stainless! What kind of modifications would it take to be printed in silver? Because if its too much then don't worry about it.
2011-12-05 23:34:26 by izacky
@Mycophobia The request sizes are available below. http://www.shapeways.com/model/399959/assassin_s_ring_2_size_8.html?gid=ug http://www.shapeways.com/model/399961/assassin_s_ring_size_9.html?gid=ug http://www.shapeways.com/model/399967/assassin_s_ring_2_size_11_1_2.html?gid=ug

Sorry, I have three sizes that I need now. 8, 9, and 11.5. Thanks! I'll order them all once they're up.
2011-12-05 03:58:14 by Mycophobia
@izacky the ring cannot be printed in silver in it's current state, I will have to alter the design to make it work. The ring is available in 9.5 at this link. http://www.shapeways.com/model/397138/assassin_s_ring_size_9_1_2.html?gid=ug
2011-12-02 07:24:27 by edrice
And would it be possible to get this ring in 9.5?
2011-12-01 22:57:01 by izacky
I tried ordering the 8.5 one but it got rejected due to the details being too thin. Is it possible to fix this?
2011-12-01 22:54:53 by izacky
@Mycophobia The ring is now available at this link. http://www.shapeways.com/model/393930/assassin_s_ring_2_size_8_1_2.html?gid=ug
2011-11-29 07:56:32 by edrice
Could you make a version of this in the size 8.5? Thank you very much!
2011-11-29 05:14:49 by Mycophobia
@Cmvisuals the ring is now available in 12 1/4 at this link. http://www.shapeways.com/model/391825/assassin_s_ring_2_size_12_1_4.html?gid=ug
2011-11-27 12:30:26 by edrice
Im Looking to buy this ring in 12 1/4. Can that be possible? Thank you!
2011-11-26 21:09:32 by Cmvisuals
Some of the detail were not apparent when printed in stainless steel due to technical reasons, so it was deactivated for now. If you want a specific size just ask in the comments the size you want. I will the create a new product at the size you need, with a slightly thicker detail for stainless steel.
2011-11-18 21:36:30 by edrice
Can I get this in another size and in stainless steel?
2011-11-18 21:03:41 by Fros7bite
@ Mr COS I've your requested decorative ring, it's available here http://www.shapeways.com/model/383353/assassin_s_decorative_ring.html?gid=sg36553 , regards. Edrice
2011-11-17 15:29:00 by edrice
Hey Edrice i just want to have this ring and use it for wearing and the other first design for display. PLEASE i want it bad
2011-11-17 10:24:11 by Mr COS
Sure just ask what size you want! I'll create a new product with the size specified in the title.
2011-11-12 11:20:19 by edrice
Can I get this in any other sizes?
2011-11-12 07:08:23 by Jason23
I won't redo the first iteration as I don't want people hurting themselves. If I were to do another ring version, it would be an entirely new design.
2011-11-03 12:06:56 by edrice
Can you still sell the first design, I would like to buy two of these but want one with a different look, and maybe because you have more space for the crest try put in the bottom part of the logo you know what I mean ? The part with the triangle and the line at the bottom.
2011-11-03 09:11:47 by Mr COS
The design has been modified, the issue should be greatly minimized.
2011-11-02 10:47:32 by edrice
I mean I want the best material for it
2011-11-02 07:07:42 by Mr COS
hey just a thought but maybe you could sand down the sharp edges or just change the design, I'm planing on buying this but want is the best good looking one. even though it may hurt.
2011-11-02 07:03:47 by Mr COS
Thanks for your feedback I've modified the description to help mitigate the problem.
2011-11-01 10:19:56 by edrice
also stains your finger orange
2011-10-30 08:52:14 by mmigues
