do you have the copyright for this halo design? I'm asking because i also want to make some game item stuff and not sure if I would get in trouble when I don't have the copyright

I should be great for me to have this model in 1/300 scale!

Love this pelican. I ordered the Black strong and flex, and am in the process of painting it, its primed up and drying. I would love to get some warthogs and scorpions in the same scale. Any chance you have some in the works?

@Mid7night So true. A lot of work goes into adjusting models for 3D print. Great job on the modeling. Very tight work. Now how do I not remember the HBO posts on these? lol Keep 'em coming

@SEspider It is the same Mid7night. I actually would be surprised if someone at MS didn't already know about my models, they've been up here for several years. I've even posted links to them on HBO and Bnet back in the day. I definitely used the game models as REFERENCE (as well as Stephen Loftus' material), however the files that are here on Shapeways have all be 're-modeled' by me, partially for the reason you point out and also for the practicality of 3D printing. You can't just take any old 3D model and just print it right away. (also, I don't add any profit-markups to any of my Halo-related models)

Is this the same Mid7night I know from H.B.O.? I'm curious. Are these original 3D models or are then ripped from the games? Not trying to be a stickler, buddy, but if Microsoft sees these and they are models from their games, you could end up in very hot water. Just be careful, Bud. However, I still want them. lol

What if you made a version with a closed canopy, and closed rear ramp? Keep it hollow inside, but then you don't have to have all the detail. would that make it more affordable and easier to print?

@MatthewM Good idea, thanks!

@Mid7night I know it would require loosing some detail, but if you could scale the model down so it prints 1.5" long, with a mounting ring off the back, this would make a really cool keychain or pendant (SS). Consider adding articulation to the wings/thrusters! This might require printing the parts in a group and adding hole features to the main body to press in/glue a metal dowel pin to allow them to pivot.

@RHspartan42 Holy cow, thank you SO much for posting a picture of the model!! Believe it or not, I haven't even ordered one for myself, so this is the first time I've actually seen a successful print of the Pelican. I'm super relieved and excited to hear (and see) that it turns out so nice. :)

Just amazing and great details inside too !!

Correction: Scale is 1/204th (or 100/17th), not 1/17th. ;)

I've now updated the model to be 1/17th scale, and added more internal hollow-areas to reduce the required material. Hopefully this reduces the price so more people can order and enjoy this model. Thanks for looking!

is there no way of making this cheaper? there is a huge market for this but not at this price =[
