This is just an abstract test piece. I made it during my studies back in 2006. I wanted to see how very fine details turn out - there are many cross sections below 1x1mm. It was modeled as a planar structure, then bent 360 degerees with a bend modifier and deformed with a deformation modifier to get the slightly convex shape. The part was built with laser sintering ("white, strong and flexible").

Very cool, I'm just starting to experiment with flexibility and fragility.
