Whenever I try to add the product to my cart I get this downloadable file which I can't open. What am i supposed to do? I can however add other rings to my cart.

You should upload an image for each material, so we know what we're buying. I would get one If I knew the looks in comparison to the material.

Why don't you have stainless available?

I am a new user of shapeways and wanted to get your opinion if you don't mind. I recently uploaded and had made 2 ring prototypes of my business logo in the "white polished" material, thinking if I was pleased with them I'd order them in metal, probably stainless. However on getting them here, and spraying a coat of paint on them to see what metal would look like, I'm pretty disappointed. The layers edges are clearly visible on top and bottom (which are angled or curved a bit), and the whole surface was very grainy. You noted "with light polishing" on your ring example, which appears to be metal and looks good. Is it your experience that there's a direct correlation between the plastic versions and the metal versions, or do they try to smooth the surface before making a metal casting? I am unsure if mine were even actually polished as they are so grainy and rough, and am interested in the opinion of someone who has gone through the process, with success. Thank you, Dan

Do you recommend regular silver or glossy silver? Also is there any variance in the sizing? Like I am a size 11 with most rings, should I order a ring that is a bit bigger or smaller?

I would pay to ship this to you and have you paint it the way you have the one that is your profile pic on here. It is just so awesome!

The 3rd and 4th pictures (the colored ones) are actually 3D renderings not actual products. Unfortunately this finish is not available through shapeways but with a little paint and patience the look is achievable on your own. Thanks, -Scott
