Traveling Salesman Ball.
The shape of the sculpture is based on the famous "Traveling Salesman" problem: given a list of cities and their pairwise distances - find the shortest path to visit each city exactly once. In this case the path has additional property: it has no self intersections.
Cities are represented as white cells on second image. Path is shown on third image. Cities and path are wrapped around a sphere.
It will look great with light inside.
Cities and path data were generated by Robert Bosch.
