I was sick and tired of selecting the wrong weapons in Gears of War because of the XBox controller's sloppy D-Pad. Mods to the controller online required inserting a crappy piece of plastic, sanding hard to reach areas, and/or soldering new internals, which is more time consuming than just a direct replacement of which I desired.

This direct replacement for the D-Pad is meant to help eliminate D-Pad pressing problems by giving a larger pad and a more accurate feel to which direction you are pressing. Corner directions are still possible with this mod, and this mod does not require any modifications to your controller other than disassembling it. This makes it possible to return your controller back to the original working, and cosmetic condition, other mods cannot do this.

Note: This mod is a beta and may require simple sanding to get the best fit. I don't recommend this to anyone who has not disassembled their controller or is not technically inclined in any way. This is the 2.0 version. The guide ring has been removed, and the shape filled in to cover the hole that is under the D-Pad better, but still made smaller than the original D-Pad for greater movement.
