Garmin Stem cap Mount H0D10

Mountainbike stems are getting shorter and shorter, this forces you to put your GPS on your bars, where it is more exposed when you crash. (and it looks fugly)
This mount replaces your stem cap (=headset or top cap), placing your gps in the safest and most ergonomic position. You can get it in a lot of different colours, which will greatly improve your strava and enduro times.
This version fits flat to your stem at a 10 degree angle to your fork tube (H0D10), please see the text below to find the version you need.

How do I chose the correct model?

Angle: this should be the same or larger than the angle of your stem.

Height: The mount comes 58mm. forward from the center of the steerer/head tube.
You need a ruler or something flat and something you can measure with.
Now lay the ruler flat on the stem (see picture), slide it forward, until it hits your stem.
if this distance is more than 58mm. you can use the zero height version (H0)
This will usually be only for stems of 70mm. and longer.
The next step is to start adding spacers on top of your stem, until you can slide the ruler 58mm. forwards.
The height you need is the same as that of the spacers you used.

The last cm. has a slight curve upwards. 3.5mm. in the middle and 5.5mm. on the sides.
So if the ruler is touching the stem in the last cm. (usually on 60mm. stems) you might get away with a lower version.

PS. never use any GPS mount without a keeper cord.
