This is a 16mm to 24mm dice set modeled after the Deathly Hallows from Harry Potter.

The Black Strong & Flexible set (red background) was hand-painted using Spanish Copper and Gold rub'n'buff (sold separately).

Alumide set was dyed black and painted with silver enamel (sold separately).

Plastics, especially clear ones, can make the dice difficult to read because it's all one color. Most dice, even standard over the counter dice would be hard to read if it was one color, check out these dice for example: http://www.roll2play.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&manufacturers_id=40 I highly recommend painting the letters. I'm sorry you weren't pleased with the result, but I'm positive you would enjoy the metal ones. I appreciate your feedback, and I will revisit the models in attempt to make them more readable in plastic.

I bought these in Frosted Ultra Detail and I am not pleased you cannot read the dice at all. They would not work well for RPGing

To my knowledge, D4's can go either way as gythawen stated. Sense they don't really roll like say a D6... they basicly just land on the table and stop. So it's more of a asthetic/artistic choice rather than a functional one.

Actually, it can be made either way. I have professional over the counter dice that have them on the edges. :) Check this link out: http://fartechlabs.com/dnd/basics.html It is a rarer form but as long as they are balanced and only display one number, the location is irrelevant.

When I recieved these dice they came with a little bit of wax or support matterial in the nooks/crannies of the letters. I just poke them out with a needle. :)
