Product Description
Objekt 279 was a project for a heavy tank developed in the Soviet Union in the late 1950's.

The streamlined shape of its hull and turret was intended to allow it to survive the blast of a tactical nuclear bomb exploded nearby. Four sets of tracks, instead of the usual two, gave it excellent mobility, especially on soft ground. The project was stopped in 1960, when the Soviet Army generally abandoned the concept of using heavy tanks. A surviving example can be seen in the Kubinka Tank Museum near Moscow.

Wikipedia has more information about the original.

This item consists of four models on a sprue, guns and turrets are separate parts on the sprue and can be assembled in different positions.
