Starship Stand

This is a model stand for Starship or small airplane models. It is designed as a compromise between the plastic domes that come with the Round2 Star Trek model kits and the plastic bases that came with the old FASA Star Trek miniatures. It is scaled pretty close so that they are about the same size compared to the 1/2500 Cadet Series Starship kits as the FASA stands were to the lead miniatures. The top of the stand is sized to fit pretty well into the Enterprise B mount. For the other kits of that series, a little shaping of the top with a half round file and and then drill a small hole with a pin-vise and you can put in a small piece of thin wire that can then be put into the model kit to hold it onto the stand. This stand should work well with the Star Trek 2-Piece Adversary Set Item No: AMT752 too. This stand is too small for the Enterprise C through E Cadet Series kits, but if there is interest, I can scale this up for those ( though the D kit needs a lot of work to be able to balance on a base this size and some lead weights would probably need to be put in the bottom of the stand.)
