@8-Perf I'm still looking for a decent image of both. At first I thought the glyphs were Mayan but they are looking egyptian. Got the film on blu ray I'll take some screen caps and get back to you :)
@paulelderdesign Nice!! I am curious though. Where did you find a good close-up of the interior dials and the outer ring that showed what all the little glyphs looked like? Thats partly why I put my physical model on hold, never could figure those out. If you have good close-up pix of any of that I would be grateful.
@paulelderdesign If you're referring to the one on the 3D Warehouse, then yes, it is probably mine. I have not checked to see if anyone else did one. Go for it. Use away.
As for my prop replica, Only the lid and a few of the bottom pieces were 3d printed. The rest is all scratchbuilt the old fashioned way. Need to get back on that sometime soon.
@8-Perf No as 3d printing was not as readily available. I remember where I got the reference image too it was in a book I'll scan the page when I track it down. Would it be ok to use yours as reference for the bits surrounding the outer dial? There's one on Sketchup, guessing it yours ;)
@8-Perf I found it on my old hard drive exactly how I left it lol. Needs a bit of work and is no way near finished, I'll give it the full Mental ray treatment later but thought it would be nice to just hit render to see what lighting I used back then. I know one thing for certain I used boolean to get the holes in the poly. This has got to be at least 4 years old :O
@8-Perf Thanks the Triangle of light was made very recently for a client but I thought it was too good not to share. Regarding the Clock I made it a while back just from screen captures. I don't tend to look for other peoples work until I'm finished that's my ethics and workflow ;)
@paulelderdesign Hi Paul- Sure thing. I love seeing others work on subjects like this. Nice job on the Triangle of Light, BTW. When you said you made this, did you use my drawing? No one has as of yet that I know of. My own project has languished on the back burner for too long now. Please let me know when you get your uploaded. Cant wait to see it. -Mark
