About this Product

The Twisted-6 puzzle is a six-sided cousin to my Twisted-8 puzzle. This time the puzzle is based on the geometry of the trigonal trapezohedron, which in this case also happens to be a cube. Two opposite vertexes of the puzzle turn in 120 degree increments, and the six edges not shared by those vertexes turn in 180 degree increments.

The small edge pieces of the puzzle do not contact the core, so magnets are used to hold them in place. You will need to supply your own .125" diameter x .0625" thick neodymium disc magnets to complete the puzzle. I bought mine over the web from Magcraft. The magnets will press into place without any need for glue, but it may take a little work with a hobby knife to get them to fit, so I recommend this puzzle for experiencecd builders only.

The puzzle comes as a DIY kit of parts, and you will need to supply your own stickers. The sticker template is available on the instructions forum.

I recommend that you purchase the puzzle in "Black Strong & Flexible". It costs a bit more than the white material, but it's worth it since the finished puzzle will look and work better. All of the parts snap together, so no additional screws, springs, or other hardware (except the magnets) is required. Do not test fit any of the snap-together parts, as they are not designed to unsnap.
