I was glad to have used this mount for over a year with no problems. Annex took note is is now offering their own version here: http://www.quadlockcase.com/products/out-front-mount
The reason for this mount is to have your phone in front of your handlebars, like the Garmin mounts.
NOTE: PLEASE USE DOUBLE SIDED FOAM TAPE ON THE INSIDE OF THE ARMS. This should keep the mount secure in case of stress fracture. I use it on my carbon handlebars and after taking off, the tape glue easily rubs off without residue.
Optional spring for locking mechanism that can be purchased here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005S4IH1C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Or use any Spring that fits those similar dimensions. The spring will keep the lock more secure, but It's not a requirement for the mount to work.
You will need a Quad Lock Case, can be purchased here:

I use my iPhone as a cycling computer during my commute from Brooklyn to Manhattan, paired with Cyclemeter by Abvio (http://abvio.com/cyclemeter/) and Wahoo Speed and Cadence sensor (http://www.wahoofitness.com/devices/wahoo-blue-sc-speed-and-cadence-sensor.html)
