About this Product

SALE OF THIS ITEM TEMPORARILY DISABLED UNTIL NEW PRICING IS DETERMINED. HO Scale 1/87 Budd RDC End Cab for New York New Haven & Hartford RR's 'Roger Williams' train from 1956. The 'Roger Williams' was a six-car one-off trainset designed using Budd RDC technology with all-new bodies for high-speed service beteween New Haven and Boston. While it did run as intended for several years this way, eventually the train was broken up and used with standard RDCs in commuter service around Boston and New Haven. The remaining 3 cars (both cabs and one midtrain car) went to Amtrak in 1971. Both cabs were retired by 1984, and the midtrain car (sold on to Maryland DOT in the 1970s) was retired in 1992. Those three of the original six cars remain today and are preserved operable by the Budd RDC Foundation. This HO shell is made from the original Budd blueprints. Thanks to Jim Gagliardi of the Budd RDC Foundation for his generous assistance on this project. Midtrain 'B' unit available separately, as well as frames and trucks for building nonpowered display models.

@f_units Hi, sorry for the delay, we've been slow to get these available again. We will do so at the same time we get the midtrain car uploaded for sale. We're trying to get to both as soon as we can.
