Th Buckyball pendant is a simple ball and stick representation of the C60 fullerrene molecule. Named for the similarity to Buckminster Fuller's geodesic dome. It has become an important molecule in Chemistry. It was discovered by Robert Curl, Harold Kroto and Richard Smalley and awarded the Nobel Prize. The structure is an icosahedron with 12 pentagonal faces and 20 hexagonal faces. Here it exists as a symbol for scientific studies and the beauty within nature.
