Check out my blog: http://dynath40k.blogspot.com/ Ok so I can't edit my original description. great. I'm redoing this model to print in FUD exclusively. Expect higher detail and lower FUD cost. All things in good time.

what dynath said, my are assembled with zap a gap glue, which is basically the same as super glue. the set time was longer that with resin models but once it set (overnight) it has held together nicely

Superglue should work with all the plastic materials however depending on the material you may need to clean the surface first. The support material they used for FD/FUD prevents gluing, a quick scrub in warm soapy water will remove it. You might need to do similar cleaning for other materials though I haven't always had to.

Dynath and Gaming Dog... I just got my order. Nice looking. I tried to glue the pieces together with crazy/super glue... but no luck. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Really great work, just got mine today, actually good in white/strong. Looking forward to a pack of 5, wink, wink, nudge, nudge. Thanks for your hard work!

hey gaming dog, the intent is to shrink the sprue not the model itself so that the extra cost of the sprue is minimized. the basic dimensions of the model will not change and its parts will remain interchangable. I haven't had a chance to get around to shrinking it yet thanks to a flood of other requests. the model was designed to be compatable with White Strong and Flexable however you'll get a much smoother finish and more detail with Frosted Detail. Eventually I'll revise all my models to be exclusively printable in this more detailed material by thinning the model's walls but I haven't gotten to the Dalek yet. I'm afraid my other model requests have kept me from coming back to this one for a while but rest assured i'll do so.

Awesome, simply awesome! I received a package from Shapeway a few days ago inside among some other miniatures were two of these guys in White Strong & Flexible. Thank you for offering this model it assembled quickly and looks perfect. I finished painted them gold and black and although I'm a little disappointed in the material I chose I'm really happy with the end result. the problem with White Strong & Flexible is I believe it absorbs the paint more than any other material I've used. I've painted the gold on 4 times and washes don't work as well as they should but having said that with a little work and patients these Daleks look terrific on the table much better than the old Harlequin/black tree minis and the freebies in the recent DW mag. I do plan on ordering a few more soon. you mentioned in the description that you plan on shrinking the sprue a little will the next generation be compatible with this version? ver 9? Also which material would you recommend for best results? White Strong & Flexible is significantly cheaper than the other options. When I get a camera I'll post pictures on some of the online miniature forums
