Mathematica, then Surface Evolver, then Perl, then Rhinoceros. It's a great surface -- Alan Schoen discovered it in the 60's.

i'm assuming this was made in rhino using some form of parametric scripting? was it done with grasshopper? if so would you mind sharing it with me? i'd be delighted to check out the process, and of course would not use it to reproduce the object or undermine your design in any way.
